Alan D. Arañas, hailing from Virginia Beach, Virginia, embarked on his musical journey at age 5 with piano lessons. His high school years at the Governor’s School of the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia, deepened his musical skills in piano, viola, and songwriting basics. Graduating from New York University, he expanded into film music composition and diverse genre production, evolving from classical composition to a DJing focus that enriched his musical understanding. Alan’s accolades include recognition from nationwide songwriting competitions.
Alan’s production style seamlessly transitions between emotionally evocative pieces and energetic dance tracks. His influences span from classical composers like John Williams to modern hitmakers like Timbaland. Notably, he collaborates with diverse artists, and his mentor Dr. Dika Newlin commends his ability to harmonize “serious” and “popular” music styles, capturing both accessibility and personal depth in his work.

Mr. Beatz, a versatile and dynamic producer, has rapidly risen in the music scene, crafting beats for top artists associated with Cash Money. His broad musical influences have allowed him to collaborate with industry giants like Birdman, Lil Wayne, Trina, and more. Hailing from Virginia Beach, he draws inspiration from the likes of Timbaland, Missy Elliot, and Pharrell Williams, with whom his hometown is synonymous. Mr. Beatz’s journey began with childhood musical experiments alongside his sister, later evolving into a passion for producing and playing multiple instruments.
Born Rondell Cobbs II in 1985, Mr. Beatz’s musical exploration started at age six. Early experiences in church and school bands laid the foundation for his pursuit of music. A turning point came in high school when he began producing tracks with minimal equipment, sparking his interest in a professional career. Graduating from the Recording Workshop School of Audio & Music Production, he immersed himself in producing, leading to encounters with Cash Money through his manager Josh Berkman.
His breakthrough came with the production of “Just Know Dat,” featuring Lil Wayne, which showcased a Miami-style vibe infused with Virginia Beach’s essence. This success opened doors for collaborations with Birdman, resulting in the hit “Always Strapped.” The track’s multiple versions gained widespread popularity, topping charts and solidifying Mr. Beatz’s place in the industry. His dedication and talent positioned him for a potential full-time contract with Cash Money, marking the ascent of a promising young producer.
